Surplus for the year was therefore -£128,286.03
We started off with an opening balance of £102,154.31 which leaves a net current level of
£-26,131.72 i.e. all funds are committed and we need to generate income to meet current spending requirements.
Notable achievements for the year are
· We had many private individuals who donated and with Gift Aid
· We also had lots of corporate sponsorship as per mentioned in annual report
· Individuals who run various marathons for us
· Matched funding by larger corporations
I have set an income target of £90,000 for the next financial year which I feel is realistic and achievable through corporate sponsorship from Asda, Scott Moncrieiff and his wife on behalf of the Edinburgh Charity Game, and further support from many members, families and friends.
Finally I would like to make a special thanks to all the committee members who have worked so hard this year
