The Great Scottish Walk continues to grow and now has two dates, one in Edinburgh on Sunday 22 June 2008 and one in Glasgow on Sunday 25 May 2008. This is along with eight Wee Walk venues this year, in Dumfries, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Perth, Edinburgh and Galston. Again, we are an official charity this year meaning we are included in the forms and on the Great Scottish Walk website.

Anyone can enter either the 6 or 12 mile walk as an individual or part of a team - we want walkers of all ages. As long as you are reasonably fit, you should find the walk well within your capabilities. Dogs can enter the walk as well but must be kept under suitable control at all times (the same entry fee applies).

The Paths To Health Golden Mile is aimed at people who would like to become more active, or feel they are unable to manage the full six or 12 mile walk. A medal and certificate will be presented to all participants who take part in this event at Edinburgh's Meadowbank Stadium.

Teams can consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of six walkers per team (results are only recorded in the 12 mile event). Your company, office or shop etc, can enter as many teams as you like. All information will be sent to the address of the team organiser

You can download the entry form from the Great Scottish Walk website, where you can also enter online.

As mentioned above, Great Wee Scottish Walks are being held in Dumfries, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Perth, Edinburgh and Galston this year.

The wee walks are for primary school age children, or under, who can walk for their favourite charity or school project.

Mums, Dads, Grannies and Grandads can come along and enjoy this nice Wee walk over a 2 mile course. All Wee Walkers will receive a medal, certificate and goody bag.

For more information on the various dates for the wee walks, visit the Great Scottish Walk website for details. Again, you can also enter online there as well.
