Red Alert Hat

We have received tremendous support and thank all our supporters.

We currently can't accept Red Alert Hats, however, please view our other patterns.

Over the past 4 months, we have been delighted to receive via our PO Box many packages filled with the most amazing items, either made by knitting or crochet. We have counted over 500 items which will help us follow our remit of supporting families whose babies spend time in the Neonatal Unit at RIE.

160 Red Alert hats have been received and we now have a full stock for the unit for the rest of this year and beyond. Our Neonatal team are deeply appreciative for your support. We have now deleted our pattern from our website and ask that you very kindly do not knit or crochet any more meantime.

The jackets, hats and particularly car seat blankets are popular choices when families leave the unit and we are sure all the items will be well used as the babies progress through the months ahead.

We plan two new hats to be launched so look out for the knitting patterns. One features a pattern from The Shetland Isles called Old Shell which looks very nice for bigger baby girls.

On behalf of all the Trustees, I send our sincere thanks to you for knitting, sewing and hooking so well over the past few months. Your generosity and skill help us support the smallest and sickest babies from all over Scotland.

With our thanks and best wishes,

Elaine - Trustee
