Our 3rd Bubbles for Babies ladies fundraising lunch took place on Saturday 7th September 2019 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa. Around 100 ladies were entertained by our fabulous host for the afternoon, Kylie Reid, founder of the hugely successful women’s network, EGG.
The afternoon began with some arrival fizz, followed by an update on our refurbishment of the parent facilities at the unit, amongst other charity news, and a lovely reading of a poem written by one of the doctors in the unit, Dr Rod Kelly, by our trustee, Caroline Sullivan.
Before lunch was served, Kylie led everyone in a hilarious game of Prosecco-Bingo, which probably had to be seen to be believed!
After lunch we drew our handbag place setting raffle and main raffle, before dancing to some fantastic tunes from Chaplins Disco. The afternoon concluded with the announcement of the highest auction bids, adding to our overall total of over £4500 raised, towards our refurbishment appeal.
Huge thanks go to Kylie for hosting, to Chaplins for the disco, to the Sheraton for having us, to everyone who provided our amazing auction and raffle prizes, but most of all to the lovely ladies who came along on the day to support us - we had a ball, hope you did too!
