Pedal for Scotland 2019

Around 7:30am on Sunday 8th September, two of our intrepid SSCB cycling brothers James and Jonni, set off from Glasgow Green on the 45 mile closed-road Pedal for Scotland from Glasgow to Edinburgh.

Following a route through the East end of Glasgow to Drumpelier Park at Coatbridge, then on via Glenmavis, Slammanan and Avonbridge to Linlithgow, then down the last 10 miles to the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston.

At 12:15pm, just 4hrs 45 minutes after setting off, James and Jonny crossed the finish line, sporting their SSCB technical t-shirts. They were supporting SSCB in gratitude for the care received by their 9 month old nephew, Thomas, who was there to meet them, also wearing his SSCB t-shirt.

A little earlier, dad Chris crossed the finish line of the Wee Jaunt from Linlithgow to Edinburgh, to be greeted by his 18 month old daughter, Éile.

Chris completed the 10 mile route in around 1 hour 15 minutes. Congratulations, and thank you to all three cyclists, who raised a combined total of £2,186.37 for SSCB.
